Celebrating the Success of All People Living with Disability

As we approach International Day of People with Disability on December 3, Job Centre Australia celebrates the extraordinary people we are privileged to work with each and every day.

Breakers Country Club

Our inclusive employer partner, Breakers Country Club in Wamberal NSW, currently employ three of our hard-working Job Centre Australia candidates. Emily, Tanian and Melissa are all kicking their personal career goals at Breakers, and making positive contributions to their workplace, colleagues and customers each day.

Well done, ladies! And thank you Breakers for helping us work towards a more inclusive, accessible and sustainable world.

Nat from Gosford

Amazing JCAL candidate Nat Arnison recently celebrated her 10 year anniversary with Gosford Woolworths!

Living with developmental co-ordination disorder and intellectual disability has proved no barrier to Nat. When first entering the workforce, she struggled with anxiety and low confidence, but with sheer dedication, and JCAL and Woolworths’ support, today she’s confidently thriving in everything she does.

Even throughout the challenges of COVID, Nat continued to work to support Woolworths when staff numbers were down, and she turned up to every shift with a positive attitude.

We’re super proud of you, Nat!

Cliff from Kincumber

Our Central Coast candidate, Cliff Parker, is one inspiring example. Cliff brings such enthusiasm to his role as a Factory Hand at Kincumber Mitre 10, his manager Matthew says he has the best work ethic of the entire team, and he boosts the morale of his colleagues and customers every day.

Living with Congenital Limb Deformity hasn’t stopped Cliff from achieving any of his goals – in fact he is looking to advance his skillset further in logistics and computer courses, and Mitre 10 say he’s so valuable they’ll do all they can to support his long-term career plans.

Congratulations, Cliff!
